Hi, my name is Gail. I was born in a small midwestern town: New Hampton, Iowa in the 1950's to Carmella (Alhof) and Brice Stevenson, Sr. The family lived in Elma, Iowa. I have two sisters, Kay and Pat, that are older than me. I have an older broher,Brice, who passed away in 2005. I have one brother, Jim, who is still living. He had cancer of the esopaghus and had surgery a few years ago. Not too long ago, he found out that he has bone cancer. He just had surgery a few days ago. The cancer isn't curable. I saw him and his wife, Louise, the other day-they are not doing too good, but my brother is the optimistic type, so hopefully he'll be okay.

My mother, Carmella, passed away in January 1998. She had cancer, too. She was a real good cook. She used to bake, too. I remembered her making bread pudding and it was pretty good. She loved to travel, and she loved goiing to Las Vegas to play the slots in the casinos. She had a pet dog named Skippy. Skippy's full name was "Sweet-Tart Skipper." Skippy was a white West Highland Terrior. Skippy was a nice dog and he was very friendly. He has been gone for a long time.

I have a female cat named Bessie. She is about nine years old. She is gray and oranged colored. She is a nice cat. I have a neice and she has a cat and some dogs. The dogs were attacking the cat, so my neice brought her over to my house. The cat is a female and her name is Sasha. She is a really nice cat! I have my own cat and their not getting along too well yet. I hope that they tolerate each other eventually. She (Sasha) is dark colord and tiger stripped. Sasha is plump. She is very sweet and loveable.

I went to Kaplan University for a few years to study for the Medical Assistant program, but it didn't work out, so I studied Interdisciplinary Studies instead. I thought the medical field was really interesting, though.

When I was in high school I took a class in Creative writing. I thought creative writing was kind of interesting. I never did too good in English, Science, or math, either.

I have lived in the state of Iowa all of my life and winter comes everytime, so I've seen a lot of it in Iowa (Northern Iowa is the coldest). Usually it snows a lot in Iowa and there is always ice. I don't really like ice. I think that its harder to walk on ice when you get older and I think that I need to get a pair of cleats, because its hard for me to walk on ice.

I work as a temp employee for a temp service in town. I'm working at a factory in town through the temp service. The factory produces food products and is a well-known name that is known everywhere and is international. The temps do the manual labor, which isn't too hard.
